Who is Blue Lotus?

First and foremost Blue lotus is not a lotus. It is a water Lilly. It is a 3rd eye-opener and a nervine to calm the busy brain. In larger doses it has a euphoric-like effect, some even hallucinogenic.

It has a beautiful fragrance when contracted and made into an oil. Its properties are very good for the general health of the skin, both from topical application and ingestion. But as ever herbs and plants has an energy associated with them Blue lotus is often connected to the Egyptian god Nephertum. The god of perfume, herb and spice and a truly divine masculine.

I was working with the herbs when i was introduced to Blue lotus in concetrate form for Dancing our Divintiy a supportive dance event container that birthed from one of my clients desires to host and hold dances.

We took turns making the playlists and intentions etc for the events, and during one of these I was introduced to Blue lotus. I brewed large pots of tea with mixes of herbs and I didthe invoacation I was gifted that one evening.

To Nefertem, who is beautful, I offer my praise. O god who bears the lotus, who was born of the blossom, who arose from the ancient waters in the time before time, who rises again with each new day, I honour you.

Nefertem of the flowers, lily of the sun, child Phat who put all things in places, child os sekhmet who is great of healing, I thank you for your many gifts, the blessings you provide. yours is the beauty within all things: I pray to you.

Yours is the fragrence of perfume: I pray to you.

Yours is the essence of herb and spice:I pray to you.

O god who we know with each day's dawning, whose might we see in the brightening light,

o Nefertem who is beautiful I pray to you this day.

I would spin the teapot and invoke the chant. Then one day I randomly got an offer to purchase high quality essential oils for perfuming and sensual self care healing massage.

i found myself ringing bells and chanting mantras, burning incense and opal inoking in a masculine and feminine diety, and genrally being a little alchemist of the oils.

I had reactions to the oils of orgasmic bliss, and so did others. awakening the senses. I deepened my contact with tripurda sundri at that time...

one day I looked at my littel alchemical table of goodies and a fresh batch of invocation oils being made, and I wondered.... were did this come from ?

we smell pretty and we now know thingsa bout skin care....where did this come from ?

i turned to see my invcation to Nefertem and read the line .....Yours is the fragrence of perfume.... and I realized it was He.... it was him that brought N.Joy Grounded in pleasure oils to be..... thank you Nefertem you beautiful being you ... for awakeneing to a practice that is ancient yet new.
